Grounded in science
Even after they've been used to make your flat white, coffee grounds still retain 90% of the original ingredients from the bean. A product that continues to be high in; fibre, protein, minerals, antioxidants, sugars and of course, flavour and aroma. Instead of just throwing them away, we love to use every ground, the second time around too.
Our research and development work with leading Welsh universities, we lovingly call The Coffee Lab, is the space where we test out hypotheses about the incredible possibilities of coffee grounds.
Local heroes
Our charity, our indie coffee shops and garden centres, our university and our loyal customers are part of our community supporting circular business. Growing respectfully together without taking more of earth’s finite resources than we need.
Coffee lab
And alongside the brilliant minds at universities across Wales, Rosie's team is quietly pioneering new ways to unlock everything the humble coffee bean still has to give. The story of your morning coffee, it turns out, is only just getting started.
Our promise
Together we can use 100% of the coffee bean for good; one glass, one shelter, one kilowatt at a time.

From our founder
Hello,
While you’re here I’d love to tell you how it all began. I had little experience of selling things, but lots of experience at the NHS, fixing problems with science.
Most people never think about what happens to the grounds after a coffee has been poured. I thought about this. A lot. From the mountains of discarded coffee I saw something else entirely: a botanical spirit, local green energy, a boost to the community.
We’re on a journey to net zero coffee waste by distilling our award-winning dry gin, premium vodka and aperitif Aperoffi, researching new innovations in our coffee lab, diverting the used grounds for green energy and giving £1 of every full size bottle sold to Wale’s homeless charity LLamau.
We want to inspire our community, that’s you, to join the movement. Together we can use 100% of the coffee bean for good; one glass, one shelter, one kilowatt at a time.
Love Rosie x
The mixologist
Start your day with coffee and end it with one of our botanical spirits. Distilled from upcycled coffee grounds, who knew that making an impact could be so pleasant. Here's our top three takes on classic cocktails:
Aperoffi Spritz
Three prosecco, two Aperoffi, and one club soda. Finish with a twist of fresh orange and coffee beans. Zesty.
Negroni
Because the coffee notes in our London Dry Gin work so well with Campari and sweet vermouth
Espresso Martini
Our vodka is literally made for an Espresso Martini. The coffee notes are already distilled into the vodka, a natural pairing.
